Movie of the Week

Hey everyone!

Hope you’re enjoying the Victoria Day weekend! We are, except for the fact that we are dealing with 40 + cm of snow, no joke. This blizzard we have endured has resulted in a movie marathon today!

One movie, which I’ve seen several times before and loved, was Happy Birthday To Me. Of course this oldie would be one of my favs, it’s an 80s slasher surrounding a clique of popular kids at school, who are murdered one by one, but why?

Filmed in Montreal, it has lots of twists and turns, and an awesome storyline. Starring Melissa Sue Anderson, known from Little House on the Prairie and Tracey Bregman. Give it a shot, and let me know what you think!

Enjoy :)

Crafty Friday

So my new obsession is crocheting. It may sound old lady like but I really think that all that’s old is new again!

Anyway I learned how to crochet after Christmas and I just started my first Afghan, can’t wait o show you :)

Here are some projects I want to do in the future, you can find the on my Pinterest page, my user name is Jasmin Brace!

Now I’m getting ready to go out with some friends and start to enjoy the Victoria Day weekend! I hope you’re having fun tonight :)

A Few of my Favorite Things

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted about a product I love, but this deserves a try.

I first heard about Indigena products a couple years ago when it was made exclusively for salons. Indigena was featured at this years Golden Globes awards! They recently opened a store in downtown St.Johns (NL) and their products are fabulous. Organic and made locally, the creator actually dives in the Atlantic Ocean for sea weed and other sea products which are used in the skin care, and all the other natural ingredients are grown at the university’s Botanical Gardens.

After the first couple uses I could honestly see a difference in my face, less redness and a dewy, clear complexion. Within the first week I was receiving compliments from people asking what skin care products I use!

I bought a starter kit which contains Smooch Lip Balm, Rooibos Tea Cleanser, Blueberry Bliss Sugar Scrub, Sea Veggie Face Masque and Sea Veggie Facial Lotion. I also bought a Sea Mineral Mist which can be used as a toner as well as a makeup setter and refresher.

The products can be purchased on their website indigenaskincare.com, it’s worth a look!

Movie of the Week

This weeks movie is “See No Evil”, also known as “Blind Terror”. I just saw this film last week and fell in love. It has the perfect atmosphere and builds the feeling of fear the entire time.

Starring Mia Farrow, whom I absolutely adore, as Sarah who has just recovered from a horse riding accident which left her blinded. While staying at her aunt and uncles home she is terrorized by a twisted killer in cowboy boots. The worst part is what she cannot see…

I highly recommend this movie, it’s not super scary but is intense due to the fact that Sarah is blind and is trying to hide from a killer in a home she does not know very well, you will want to yell at the tv and tell her what to do, or at least I did. It will definitely keep you guessing who is really wearing those boots….

Enjoy :)

Night Moves

I’ve had such a great week! Visited friends I haven’t seen in months and tonight I’m hanging out with the hubs, my brother and his gf having a few drinks and fooling around on snap chat, which is ridiculous, but so fun.

We were so busy the last few days, went to St. John’s and did some much needed catching up and shopping. Today we went to The Sprout for lunch, it’s a vegetarian and vegan restaurant in town which is super cute, I had a taco salad which was delish and also bought some gluten free and vegan treats for myself.

I hope your weekend is off to an amazing start! Xo

Movie of the Week

This weeks movie is not technically horror, more suspense, but horrifying none the less.

A young girl named Hayley (the amazing Ellen Page) meets a 32 photographer named Jeff (Patrick Wilson) in a chat room. After talking for sometime they meet for coffee and decide to go back to his house. I don’t want to give too much away but the events that unfold at Jeff’s home are nothing you would predict, and as the saying goes, things aren’t always as they appear.

This is a great psychological movie, it has some disturbing content, but if you’re in the mood for something that will keep you guessing then this is the movie for you.

Enjoy :)

I’m so Excited

And I just can’t hide it! Haha. Lame I know.

But I am excited to be reunited with all of my lovely friends. Tonight I was invited to a girls night with the lovely ladies of Baie Verte. It was so nice to catch up and have some girl time.

This week I get to see my Daddio, mama, brother and my girlfriends who are like family to me :) words cannot express how excited and happy I am to see them and how blessed I am to have them in my life :)

There’s nothing more important than being surrounded by people who make your world a better place. As cheesy as I sound, and I know I’m cheesy, it’s the truth.

Sweet dreams :)

Into the Wild

Tonight I feel like I’m surrounded by wild animals, I’m in the middle of a living room surrounded by grown men growling and yelling, you guessed it they’re watching the hockey playoffs! I’m not a hockey person, but I’ve married into a family of hardcore Montreal fans. Like it or not there’s no escaping the wrath of playoffs.

Instead of watching the game I’ve been looking up crafts on Pinterest, sound familiar? Same ol’ routine as usual for me! To think last week this time I was sailing on the Caribbean Sea enjoying the full moon and a drink or two on my balcony, that’s the life.

I hope you are having a fabulous Friday. Xo.
